Emotional, lyrical sound born from the fusion of melody and death growls! An extreme, progressive, and melodic hybrid life form that will ravage the world! Formed in Melbourne in 2004, Bellacall was initially influenced by bands like At the Gates, but after about a year of rehearsal in isolation from the outside world, they underwent a bizarre transformation. The band uses the expression "melodic death metal" to describe their own music, but it is distinct from the melodic death metal we know, establishing a style that is different from both Scandinavian and American music, while still featuring melody and death growls. They have built a darker and more progressive worldview. They debuted in 2007 with the album "The Frail Tide," and their second album, "Stone's Reach" (2009), was released not only in their home country of Australia but also in Europe and Russia. Their third album, "Of Breath And Bone" (2012), was mixed by Jens Bogren, who has worked with Angra, DragonForce, Amon Amarth, Opeth, and Katatonia, demonstrating their continued global expansion with each release. Then, in 2016, they released "Vessels," an album they describe as having "the richest, most intricately woven sound." The band explains that the album, which took about a year to create, combines "elements familiar to Bellacole fans with elements that will surprise them." The inclination towards epic tracks, exemplified by the two 10-minute-long masterpieces "Withering Strands" and "The Smoke of Many Fires," permeates the entire album, drawing the listener into a torrent of heaviness and passion. "Vessels" is also Bellacole's first concept album. While they were originally influenced by role-playing games and other genres, this album takes lyricism and emotion as its theme rather than a specific storyline, resulting in a work that showcases the band's maturity. "Vessels" depicts the human condition?living, suffering, and dying?sometimes brutally, sometimes melancholicly.
