He has shown talent not only as a guitarist but also as a composer. He has composed music for the Spanish National Ballet and for films, and in recent years has released a series of solo albums of classical music, arranging pieces by Alb?niz, Granados, Falla and Scarlatti for guitar. His music is heavily influenced by flamenco, and he extracts the elements of flamenco that lie dormant within it, gaining support from both the flamenco and classical music scenes. In 2011, he was invited by Sir Simon Rattle, principal conductor and artistic director of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's top orchestras, to perform Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" at the Royal Theatre in Madrid, attracting great attention in the classical music world as well. Since then, he has been invited to perform with orchestras throughout Europe and has become a highly sought-after soloist. In September 2015, he performed with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and in January 2017, with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
