Skagarack, a band that emerged from Denmark in the 80s and left a significant mark on the Nordic metal scene, is finally releasing a new album after a 30-year hiatus! Formed in 1985 in Kolling, Jutland, Denmark, the five-piece band, centered around vocalist Torben Schmidt, debuted in 1986 with their debut album "Skagarack" on major label Polydor. The music video for the album track "I'm Alone" was aired on European TV, the album became a hit, and the band gained significant recognition. Their second album, "Hungry For A Game," released in 1988, was also a smash hit, and their positive and energetic songs were compared to other Nordic bands like Europe. In 1990, the band successfully released their third album, "A Slice Of Heaven," and in 1993, they released their fourth album, "Big Time," with a completely new lineup except for Torben, before going on hiatus. However, they made a comeback in 2009, participating in a local Danish festival. Ten years later, in 2019, Torben began writing songs for a new album. The songs, created during the COVID-19 pandemic, are a magnificent culmination of Torben's musical ideas from the past 30 years. Torben says, "This album contains many songs that were created by following inspiration. That's why it's a mix of various types of songs. We weren't simply aiming for the same sound as the 80s, but rather wanted to incorporate more of the 70s atmosphere. I think you can feel the atmosphere of Deep Purple and Rainbow, who influenced us when we started making music." That being said, the sparkling melodies characteristic of Scandinavia are still present! Original member Jan Petersen (guitar) is also fully involved! They have completed a melodic masterpiece album that will not disappoint fans! The Japanese edition includes bonus tracks! Japanese edition bonus tracks!
