Crystal Viper, the multinational band from Poland, Sweden, and Germany, delivers their new album in the shortest time since their last release, "The Cult"! Listeners who have been seriously into heavy metal for many years will already know about CRYSTAL VIPER. Formed by singer and guitarist metal queen Martha Gabriel, they released their debut album in 2007! Since then, they have toured in over 15 countries, played at everything from small clubs to massive festivals, released 8 studio albums and numerous singles, and are one of the hardest-working and most recognized bands of their generation. Their previous album, "The Cult," released in 2021, brought the band back to the roots of traditional and pure heavy metal, full of lyrical melodies, classic guitar riffs and harmonies. This new album, "The Last Axeman," was originally a mini-LP, but it's packed with a parade of powerful tracks that rival a full album. The title track, the first song on side A, is a new version of an early song. The second track is a new song, influenced by H.P. Lovecraft, just like on their previous album, "The Cult." The band understands their place in metal very well, and this time they've included a cover of "Ulitsa Roz" by Russian heavy metal hero "ARIA." These three songs can only be heard on this analog LP (except for the Japanese version). Side A also includes another song, "It's Electric," a well-known signature song by the classic NWOBHM band, DIAMOND HEAD. Side B contains four songs from the album "The Cult," but these are live recordings from the studio. These are from the #RockOutSessions series, an online video broadcast series totaling over 20 minutes, and are powerful versions that capture the rawness and intensity unique to live recordings.
