RAVENWORD was formed in 2007 by keyboardist/composer Davide Scutelli, who handles all of the band's songs. After several years of activity, including a self-titled demo, they temporarily ceased activities, but in 2016 they reunited with Chiara Tricarico, a female vocalist who is currently making a name for herself in Italian power metal bands such as SOUND STORM and MOONLIGHT HAZE, to create a one-off studio album, "Transcendence," which they consider the culmination of their work as a band! Against a backdrop of a decadent worldview inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's narrative poem "The Raven," modern operatic vocals, heavy choruses, and driving keyboards are brilliantly fused.
