Commentary by Masao Fujiki (METALLION). Review: This is the 3rd album from the beautiful female vocalist who made a stunning debut in 2010 with the classic melodic hard rock album "SIGN OF ANGELS". While the 2nd album was frustratingly lacking in overall melody quality compared to the 1st, this time she covers many "hidden gems" of existing melodic hard rock, and therefore the quality of the songs is impeccable. Even though they are covers, the originals are by TANGIER, 21 GUNS, BOULEVARD, Stuart Smith, Mark Free, etc., and the band has hit upon a subtle point where only hardcore fans would know the original songs, so there is absolutely no sense of it being a "concept album". It is because Issa's vocals are outstanding that good songs are presented as "even better songs", and this is a victory for the staff's strategy. Bravo! (Kazuo Hirose) --BURRN! (December 2012 issue) The long-awaited 3rd album from ISSA, a talented singer from Oslo, the capital of Norway, has arrived. She has attracted attention and captivated many fans as a talented artist who carries on the legacy of orthodox hard rock, and with this work, she has solidified that position. The many lesser-known masterpieces included on the album are infused with new charm by her, who has a voice that is loved by melodic rock fans. Of course, the arrangements by the instrumentalists, including the producer who supports her vocals, are also superb. From upbeat tunes to mellow ballads, she sings with deep emotion, and this album offers a freshness and level of perfection that makes it hard to believe it is her previous work. This album is sure to captivate not only her existing fans but also fans of 80's rock! - (Kaori Sakurai) -- Geki Rock (November 2012 issue) This talented and beautiful female singer, who debuted after winning a contest in her native Norway and whose two studio albums have been well-received, has released a new cover album that shines a spotlight on hidden gems of melodic hard rock/AOR. The selection of artists, including AVIATOR, 21GUNS, BOULVARD, TOWER CITY, and Mark Free, is impressive, and the compatibility between these melancholic melodic rock masterpieces and Issa's lustrous, emotional voice is outstanding. Both the songs and the vocals work together to create a synergistic effect, bringing out a new charm in this excellent cover album. The producer is A.D. Vecchio of Hardline. - (Koichi Haneda) -- YOUNG GUITAR (November 2012 issue)
