They debuted in 1964 with the album "Wednesday Morning, 3 AM". The song "The Sound of Silence" from the album was released as a folk-rock single and became a huge hit, reaching number 1 in the US. From then on, every single and album they released became a bestseller. With their intellectual world of lyrics, memorable melodies, exquisite harmonies between the two, Paul's outstanding guitar playing, and perfect songwriting, they released one high-quality work after another, gaining worldwide popularity as one of America's leading duos and establishing an era. This work is their third original album, released in October 1966. It reached number 4 on the US charts. This is a representative early hit album that marked their first top 10 hit. With its poetically refined music and high level of perfection, it is a highly popular album. The track "I Want to Go Home Soon," which was released before the album, reached number 5 on the US charts. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the album's release, it is now being released as a 7-inch paper sleeve SA-CD hybrid edition. Product highlights: - Uses a hybrid disc with a high-quality SACD stereo layer and a CD stereo layer. It can also be enjoyed as a regular CD (SA-CD layer: 2026 latest remaster / CD layer: 2014 remaster [2 bonus tracks are 2001 remaster]) - This is the first time that an SA-CD hybrid edition has been released in Japan.
