Formed in Bournemouth, England in 1990 by Gregory Sporton and Andy Poole. They debuted in 1994 with the album "Goodbye To The Age Of Steam". While influenced by progressive rock legends of yesteryear such as Genesis and Yes, they have also incorporated elements of 1980s post-punk and Britrock, establishing a highly original sound. They have released a series of concept albums that emphasize storytelling, earning high praise. In November 2021, vocalist David Longdon passed away suddenly. The band has welcomed former PFM member Alberto Bravin as their new lead vocalist, and has also revamped its lineup to seven members. In 2023, they released "The Likes of Us." This album is their 17th original album, released approximately 1 year and 11 months after their previous one. It is a concept album based on an original fable that tells the story of the life of a printmaker. It has a rich sound that feels like the epitome of progressive rock and is well worth listening to.
