It has been decided that "IRIS OUT," written by Kenshi Yonezu as the theme song for the theatrical film "Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc," and "JANE DOE," a collaboration between Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada for the film's ending theme, will be released as a double A-side single. The original work is the manga "Chainsaw Man," which has surpassed 30 million copies in total circulation and is currently serialized in "Shonen Jump+" (Shueisha). The author is Tatsuki Fujimoto, a genius manga artist who has produced a string of popular works such as "Fire Punch," "Look Back," and "Sayonara Eri." In 2022, a TV anime adaptation produced by animation studio MAPPA ("Jujutsu Kaisen," "Attack on Titan The Final Season," etc.) was broadcast and received high praise not only in Japan but also around the world. The story follows the protagonist, Denji, as he is manipulated by a girl he meets by chance, Reze, and hurtles towards an unpredictable fate, all depicted with the exhilarating battle action characteristic of MAPPA animation. The film will be released on September 19th (Friday), starting in Japan and continuing in over 50 countries and regions. Kenshi Yonezu's double A-side single, "IRIS OUT / JANE DOE," will be available in three versions: a limited edition "IRIS OUT version," a "JANE DOE version," and a regular edition. The "IRIS OUT Edition" is a special package containing a Polaroid and acrylic stand of Reze drawn by Yonezu, housed in a pouch case. The "JANE DOE Edition" comes in a shard case and includes a CD and DVD.
