From the 6-CD set "Miles in France - Miles Davis Quintet 1963/64 Bootleg Series Vol. 8" (6CD: SICJ334-9), a collection of previously unreleased live recordings of the legendary Miles Davis Quintet's second golden quintet, released worldwide in November 2024, a 2CD set of recordings from the Paris Jazz Festival on October 1, 1964, will be released separately as an SA-CD hybrid disc in a 7-inch paper sleeve (the analog version will be released as a 2LP in November 2024). The members are Herbie Hancock (piano), Ron Carter (bass), Tony Williams (drums), and Wayne Shorter (saxophone). The live performance took place at the legendary Salle Pleyel in Paris, with the first set on DISC 1 and the second set on DISC 2. This is a Japan-only release in a 7-inch paper sleeve and hybrid disc format. All tracks are in mono.
