Thela Hun Ginjeet (from 'Discipline') [1981] A live album by the super band "Beat" that focuses on 80s King Crimson. Beat is a super band consisting of Adrian Belew (g/vo) and Tony Levin (b) from King Crimson, as well as Steve Vai (g) and Danny Carey (ds) from Tool. Initially, Belew's wish was for King Crimson to reunite and tour in 2021, the 40th anniversary year of "Discipline" (released in 1981). However, since leader Robert Fripp would not be participating, he changed direction and formed a band with a lineup of highly skilled musicians, and the band name was changed to "Beat," after the title of the album from that period. They embarked on a 42-show North American tour, starting in San Jose, California on September 12, 2024, performing songs from three King Crimson albums from the 80s: "Discipline," "Beat," and "Three of a Perfect Pair." This year, 2025, they started their South American tour in Monterrey, Mexico on April 24, and have been receiving great acclaim everywhere they go. A Japanese performance has been scheduled for September 1. This album is a live recording of their Los Angeles performance on November 10th of last year.
