Gabi Altman, a rising singer-songwriter from Paris with a sweet and nostalgic voice, releases her first full album in two years. The album tells the story of Salinda, a woman who comes from a fictional island. The story, which consists of three chapters, explores universal themes such as innocence, disillusionment, and the search for peace, and is sung in French and English. Gabi Altman, known for her unique organic sound that blends various elements from jazz, chanson, Brazilian music, and African music, studied philosophy and politics in Paris, then Brazilian music in Rio de Janeiro, moved to London to study ethnomusicology, and subsequently traveled to South Africa, Portugal, and other countries. In 2018, she met Jesse Harris, known for his collaborations with Norah Jones, and began recording her first solo project with him in New York, Rio, and Paris. In January 2023, she released her debut album, "Gabi Altman." Her distinctive voice quickly gained attention in Japan, and she won the Japan Gold Disc Award for Best New Artist (Western Music).
