Pink Floyd's vocalist and guitarist, David Gilmour's first solo album in 9 years. A miraculous inclusion of bonus tracks on the Japanese edition (CD), something previously impossible for Pink Floyd-related releases! The album was recorded over five months in Brighton and London, and is their first all-new album since 2015's "Flight." Produced by David Gilmour and Charlie Andrew (who also worked with the Mercury Prize-winning indie band ALT-J), the album includes eight new songs as well as a remake of The Montgolfier Brothers' "Between Two Points." The artwork was created by Anton Corbijn. Participating musicians include bassist Guy Pratt (who has participated in Pink Floyd's recordings and tours since 1987), keyboardist Roger Eno (Brian Eno's brother), legendary drummer Steve Gadd, and Gilmour's son and daughter. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright. English magazine UNCUT described it as "a powerful new work inspired by impending death," and the overarching theme is "accepting the inevitability of death, while also showing that life is not just about luck or strange occurrences, but also about mysterious coincidences." (The Japanese analog version of the imported album will be a completely limited production of orange-colored vinyl. The orange color used for the Japanese version is the same color used for overseas indie exclusives.)
