A promising new talent for 2023, Gabi Altman, a singer-songwriter from Paris, France, presents her debut album. Co-produced by Jesse Harris. This album blends various elements such as jazz, chanson, bossa nova, and Americana with Gabi's unique sensibility, and features a guest appearance by Julien Lage! After studying philosophy and politics in Paris, Gabi spent two years studying in Rio de Janeiro, where she became deeply involved in Brazilian music. She then moved to London to study ethnomusicology, traveling to South Africa, Guinea, Portugal, and New York. In 2018, she met Jesse Harris and together they began recording her first solo project in New York, Rio, and Paris. Her debut EP, "Always Seem to Get Things Wrong," released in October 2021, showcased her diverse musicality, ranging from jazz to chanson, bossa nova, and African music, and garnered significant attention. In January 2023, she released her debut album, "Gabi Hartmann." In Japan, she has attracted considerable attention from vocal fans since the EP's release, and word-of-mouth has spread organically.
