Formed in London in 1968 by Chris Squire and Jon Anderson, Yes is a progressive rock band that spearheaded the progressive rock boom of the 1970s, producing numerous masterpieces. Along with Pink Floyd, King Crimson, EL&P, and Genesis, they are considered one of the five greatest progressive rock bands and have had a significant impact on rock history. This album is their 22nd studio album, their first in 7 years since 2014's "Heaven & Earth," and their first release since moving to Sony Music. Produced by Steve Howe. In June 2015, Chris Squire, the only remaining original member, passed away suddenly from acute myeloid leukemia. Billy Sherwood, who had been a support member for some time, took over his position. The current members are Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, and Jon Davison. Jay Schellen participated as a guest musician on the recording.
