Product Description
Content Introduction A quiet passion dominates the entire work, and their 14th studio album is finally here! This 14th album, their first studio album in three years, is complete. For the first time in their albums, the initial concept was inspired more by the piano than the guitar. Recording took place in the winter of 2020-21 with longtime collaborator Dave Eringa (The Who) at Rockfield in Monmouth, Wales, and at their Door to the River Studios in Newport, followed by mixing by David Wrench (Blossoms, Frank Ocean, Arlo Parks). Two guest vocalists participate in this album: Julia Cumming (Sunflower Bean) on "The Secret He Had Mist" and Mark Lanegan on "Blank Diary Entry." The tracks perfectly blend introspection, quiet passion, and sublime, irresistibly captivating songs. These elements are present throughout the album, from the ambient humming of the opening track, "Still Snowing in Sapporo," a title of interest to Japanese audiences, to the ending.
