A new 4K animated television series, "Moomin Friends" (13 episodes in total), co-produced by Finnish national broadcaster YLE and British network SKY International, will premiere in Spring 2019. In Japan, it will begin airing on NHK BS from April. This animation is a highly anticipated work directed by Steve Box, who won an Academy Award for "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit."
