Of the 13 tracks included in this album, which were studio-recorded between January 1968 and February 1970, 10 are previously unreleased. Many of the tracks were recorded by the trio that would later become known as Band of Gypsys: Jimi Hendrix (G/Vo), Billy Cox (B), and Buddy Miles (Ds), but also feature guest appearances by Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding, Stephen Stills, Johnny Winter, Duane Hitchings (Buddy Miles Express/Piano), Dallas Taylor (CSN&Y/Ds), Ronnie Youngblud (Curtis Knight & the Squires/Vo & Sax), and others. The album was produced by Janie Hendrix, John McDermott, and Eddie Kramer, who have worked on Jimi Hendrix's albums released since 1996. (C)RS
