This album is co-produced by Greg Rolie, formerly of the original Santana band, and Bill Szymczyk, producer for the Eagles, and features a sharp pop-rock sound. Lead vocalist Alex Ligertwood is primarily responsible for songwriting. "Hold On" (US #15), a style previously unheard of in Santana, became a huge hit in surfer disco, gaining new fans.
