The series is supervised by Toshikazu Kanazawa, known for Light Mellow. Hiroshi Nagai, the master illustrator known for Eiichi Ohtaki's "A LONG VACATION," provides the common artwork for this series. Born in Los Angeles in 1948, he debuted in 1973 as one of the first artists signed to Asylum Records, alongside Jackson Browne. This album, his first after moving to Columbia, is a masterpiece considered the original AOR. Steve Cropper, a guitarist who has participated in numerous recordings at the prestigious soul label Stax, was brought in as producer. Cropper skillfully incorporates Doheny's soul sensibilities, resulting in a chic and sophisticated work. The chorus features Glenn Frey and Don Henley of the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, J.D. Souther, and also includes the name of a young David Foster (piano). "Get It Up for Love" has many cover versions.
