The album is based on the concept of a collection of songs that tell the story of a young boy named Barney's adventures and observations, incorporating a progressive rock approach and exploring fantasy themes. Joanna Wong handled everything from composition to production. Roger Joseph Manning Jr., known as a member of Jellyfish, participated as sound designer and also handled arrangements for several tracks.
