The Questions Eli Paperboy Reid was born in 1982 in Brookline, near Boston. From a young age, he grew up listening to a wide range of music genres including soul, blues, gospel, rock, and country. He taught himself guitar and piano and performed on the streets. After graduating from high school, he moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, and participated in blues sessions almost every day. After entering the University of Chicago, he was selected as the music director of Mitty Corea's gospel choir. After graduating, he returned to Boston and in 2008 released "Roll With You" on the independent label Q Division, which became a worldwide hit. The following year, he made his first visit to Japan at Fuji Rock Festival. In 2010, he made his major label debut with "Come And Get It!" on Capitol Records, and in 2014, he released "Nights Like This" on Warner Bros. Since then, he has signed with Yep Roc and has consistently released albums, including "My Way Home" in 2016, "Meets High & Mighty Brass Band" in 2018, "99 Cent Dreams" in 2019, and the Merle Haggard tribute album "Down Every Road" in 2022.
