This is the seventh solo album from Grace Potter, a powerful roots rock singer with four Grammy nominations. With her overwhelmingly energetic vocals, she sings a diverse range of songs, from raw soul to cosmic country and gritty rock and roll. Produced by her husband and longtime collaborator, Eric Valentine, the album was created in Nashville with musicians who also participated in her previous album (members of Kings of Leon and Train), and in Vermont with members of her long-time live band. 1. Belong Grace Potter was born in Waitsfield, Vermont in 1983. She grew up in an artistic environment and was familiar with piano and guitar from a young age. In 2000, she independently released "Hit The Ground." Then, in 2002, while still in college, she met drummer Matt Barr and formed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. In 2004, she released "Original Soul" under her solo name, and in 2005, "Nothing but the Water" under the band name. Her live performances gradually attracted attention, including opening for the Dave Matthews Band and The Black Crowes, and she finally broke through with her self-titled album in 2010. Her 2012 album "The Lion the Beast the Beat" also reached the top of the US charts and received critical acclaim. However, the band disbanded following her divorce in 2015. After that, she transitioned to a solo career, consistently releasing works that fuse rock, soul, and pop, such as "Midnight" in 2015, "Daylight" in 2019, and "Mother Road" in 2023, and "Daylight" was nominated for a Grammy Award in the rock category.
