After moving to Florida and graduating from high school, he worked as a guitarist in a heavy metal band. From 1998, he released several albums as a member of Divine Empire. However, in 2005, he left the metal scene and moved into the world of blues and jazz, studying Django Reinhardt. In 2008, he released his first album, "Back of My Mind." In 2009, he won the International Blues Challenge as J.P. Soars & The Red Hots, which led to a nationwide tour and increased his popularity. In 2011, he joined Southern Hospitality with Victor Wainwright and Damon Fowler, releasing the album "Easy Livin'" (2013) and performing at numerous festivals. He also consistently releases solo works, such as "More Bees With Honey" (2011). His 2019 album "Let Go Of The Reins" reached number 7 on the blues charts and was nominated for a Blues Rock award at the Blues Music Awards. His latest work is "Brick By Brick" (2024).
