Highly recommended by the excellent soul label Daptone! This is the second album from Jaylen Ngonda, the UK-based American soul singer who garnered attention with his 2023 debut album "Come Around and Love Me"! He delivers a vintage 60s soul sound with his powerful high-pitched voice, his greatest asset. As with his previous work, he is backed by producers/arrangers Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiareto, who have worked with Charles Bradley and others, and is firmly supported by Daptone's top-notch musician team. 1.
