Weapons of Beauty Jay Buchanan was born in California in 1975. He released his first solo album, "Violence," in 1999. Furthermore, as part of the band "Buchanan," he released the album "All Understood" in 2004, gaining high praise as a rootsy soul-rock singer. Then, in 2008, he formed Rival Sons, and in 2009, he self-produced his first album, "Before The Fire." The hit song "Torture" led to tour support for AC/DC and Black Sabbath, as well as appearances at many hard rock festivals. After that, he consistently released albums such as "Pressure & Time" in 2011 and "Hollow Bones" in 2016, gaining popularity in the US through a reverse import from Europe. Then, in 2019, his major label debut album "Feral Roots" was nominated for two Grammy Awards. His latest work is "Darkfighter" from 2023. As a solo artist, he has collaborated with Jason Isbell, Barry Gibb, Brandi Carlile, and others, and recently appeared in Bruce Springsteen's film "Deliver Me From Nowhere," attracting attention.
