Then, in 1962, he released the album "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music," a reinterpretation of country music, on his own record label Tangerine Records, and the single "I Can't Stop Loving" also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Chart. The following year, it won a Grammy Award and became the best-selling album by a Black musician, and even within country music. The subsequent release, Vol. 2, also received high praise and produced many hit songs. In 1963, he released "Ingredients In A Recipe For Soul," which covered a wide range of genres. The album produced hit songs such as "Busted" and "Lucky Old Sun," and remains popular to this day as a masterpiece that established Ray Charles' unique genre.
