He was so inspired by listening to blues traveler John Popper that he started playing the harmonica at the age of 15. At the age of 21, he moved to Memphis and began his career as a blues musician in earnest. He formed Delta Highway and released "The Devil Had A Woman" in 2008. After the band disbanded, he released "Songs of Love, Money and Misery" as a solo artist in 2011. His second solo album, "This Time Another Year," in 2013, was nominated for a Blues Music Award. His 2019 album "The Longshot" charted on the Billboard Blues chart, and that same year, his self-titled album with Tennessee Redemption, a unit with Jeff Jensen (G), won Best Contemporary Blues Album at the Blues Blast Music Awards. He has toured the world, including North America, Europe, and India, and has performed with artists such as Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr., and Charlie Musselwhite. His music has also been used in many American online TV dramas.
