Long Way Home Raymond LaMontagne is a singer-songwriter born in 1973 in New Hampshire. After graduating from high school, he moved to Maine and worked various jobs. Influenced by the music of Stephen Stills, he began making music. In 1999, he created a demo and pitched it, which led to him being selected as the opening act for John Gorka and Jonathan Edwards, and performing at local festivals. Finally, his talent was recognized, and in 2004 he debuted with RCA with "Trouble." The album sold 250,000 copies in the US and became a hit worldwide, selling over 500,000 copies. He also performed at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits. He continued to release albums such as "Till the Sun Turns Black (06)" and "Gossip in the Grain (08)," and his songs have been used in movies and TV dramas, and he has won various music awards. In 2010, "God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise" won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Since then, he has consistently released albums such as "Supernova (14)" and "Monovision (20)."
