Transmission Amos Lee is a singer-songwriter born in Philadelphia in 1977. After graduating from university, he worked as a teacher while singing in clubs, where his talent was discovered and he signed with Blue Note. In 2004, he was selected to open for Norah Jones, and in 2005, for Bob Dylan, before making his debut in 2005 with "Amos Lee." The album received critical acclaim and went gold. He also appeared on many popular TV shows. He continued to release albums consistently, including "Supply and Demand (2006)" and "Last Days at the Lodge (2008)," and "Mission Bell (2011)" reached number one on the Billboard charts. His songs have been used in many popular dramas such as "Grey's Anatomy," and he has also worked as an opening act for many artists including Elvis Costello and Paul Simon. Even after leaving Blue Note, he has released "My New Moon (2018)," "Dreamland (2022)," and more recently, two tribute albums with Chet Baker and Lucinda Williams.
