Always Running 12. What You Love Cody Jinx was born in Texas in 1980. After graduating from high school in 1998, he was active as the vocalist and guitarist of a local metal band. After the band disbanded in 2005, he began a solo career as an outlaw country singer. In 2006, he independently released "Collectors Item." Since then, he has consistently released albums, including "Cast No Stones" in 2008. In 2015, "Adobe Sessions" ranked 2nd on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and he also served as the opening act for Sturgill Simpson. In 2016, "I'm Not The Devil" was a huge hit, debuting at 4th on the country charts. It was also selected as one of the best country albums of the year by various media outlets. In 2018, he signed with Rounder and released "Lifers," which also reached 11th on the Billboard charts and 2nd on the country charts. Subsequently, he released "After The Fire" and "The Wanting" in quick succession in 2019 through his own label, Late August. His latest work is "Mercy" from 2021. In 2023, he was also named Independent Artist of the Year for the second time.
