She picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and gradually became devoted to the blues. At 18, she led her own band and toured Canada. Later, she signed with Antons in Austin, Texas, and released her first album, "Young Girl Blues," in 1992. She moved to Texas, the heartland of the blues, and has worked as an opening act for artists such as Albert Collins and Johnny Winter, while consistently releasing albums. After returning to Canada, she wrote the book "Guitar Woman" and participated in projects such as "Blues on Blonde on Blonde: Bob Dylan Blues Covers (2003)". In 2004, she moved to RUF and released the live albums "Change" and "New Used Car". She also produced the hit compilation album "Blues Guitar Woman". Subsequently, she released two duo albums with Peter Karp on Blind Pig: "He Said She Said (2010)" and "Beyond the Crossroads (2012)". In 2018, she released her first solo album in a long time, "The Ice Queen", and in 2021, she released "Pinky's Blues", winning many music awards.
