Lose Some Weight (Live) Mathias Latin was born in Houston, Texas in 2002. He is the grandson of NBA Hall of Famer David "Big Daddy" Latin. At the age of 10, he was inspired to pursue the blues after hearing B.B. King. He started playing in local clubs at the age of 12, and John Del Toro Richardson, having heard about him, invited him to his blues jam, where he performed with local stars like Annika Chambers. He gradually honed his skills. Later, he studied music seriously at the Performing & Visual Arts Program at Kinder High School, and in 2016 formed his own band, Untitled. In 2018, he performed at the International Blues Challenge as part of Houston's Youth Showcase Band. He toured as the guitarist for the band of popular female singer Keithia Pratt, who won the competition. In 2020, he released his first solo single, "Notice Me." Then, in 2023, he won the International Blues Challenge in the band category and was also named Best Guitarist. In October of the same year, he released his long-awaited debut album, "UP NEXT."
