Take Me To The Morning Light Hector Telles Jr. is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from Havana, Cuba. His father was a popular bolero singer active from the 1960s, so he learned music from his father from a young age. He picked up the guitar in his teens and was captivated by the blues and classic rock of Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, and others from his brother's collection tapes, and began to play them himself. While primarily performing live locally, he was discovered four years ago by Betty Maro, wife of The Mavericks frontman Raul Maro, and moved to Nashville, California. He signed with Thirty Tiger Records and commissioned Barrett Martin, a drummer who had worked with bands like Screaming Trees and Mad Season, to produce his album. Through Martin, former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and former R.E.M. member Peter Buck joined the project. With this dream grunge team backing him, production on his debut album began. This is proof that veterans recognized his exceptional talent as a guitarist and songwriter.
