Raised in a dangerous city rife with drugs and violence, he picked up the guitar taught to him by his father at the age of five and immersed himself in the music of Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, and others. He spent his days playing acoustic guitar alone, but after his father's death at age 21, he became addicted to alcohol and drugs. After a four-year period of not playing guitar at all, he completely quit drugs and began his professional career at the age of 25. He gradually gained popularity and debuted in 2019 with "Spain To Italy," which immediately earned him a nomination for Best New Artist at the UK & European Blues Awards. After completing a long European tour, he released "Live At The Harlington" in 2021. His 2022 second album, "A Savage Life," was highly acclaimed by many media outlets, including the BBC, and he won the UK Blues Award for Best Acoustic for the third consecutive year, earning him a place in the Hall of Fame. He was also nominated in five other categories. He also performed live with a blues-rock band reminiscent of Rory Gallagher, and gained renewed appreciation after opening for Eric Gales.
