His father is jazz violinist Richard Carr, who has worked with Bill Laswell and Bootsy Collins, and he himself holds a degree in jazz. Since around 2018, he has been digitally releasing instrumental tracks of electronic hip-hop, jazz, and soul that he produces, such as "Carrtoons vol. III (2018)" and "Giftape (2019)". In 2020, he digitally released "Saturday Morning," a track featuring singers and rappers, which attracted attention on social media and YouTube. He has opened for Thundercat and Nick Hakim, and in 2022 released his first physical album, "HOMEGROWN." The album, which featured guest appearances by Ray Khalil and Nigel Hall, was a hit. More recently, he fully participated in Reuben James' "CHAMPAGNE KISSES (2023)" and has been scheduled to tour the US with Butcher Brown and perform at the Montreal Jazz Festival.
