This is a powerful live recording from February 15, 1971, at the Showcase Lounge in Oakland, California, featuring B.B. at the peak of his career as a bluesman at the age of 45. While there are many live albums from this period, this one is particularly valuable as it was recorded just before his first visit to Japan on March 4th and 7th, 1971 (released as 'Live In Japan'). The backing band and setlist are the same as at the time, featuring many of his signature songs, but also including numerous famous tracks that were not performed at the Japanese shows. (C)RS
