About the Artist: Calibro 35 is a cinematic funk band from Milan. Formed in 2007 by Grammy Award-winning producer Tommaso Coliva, who has worked with artists such as The Muse and Franz Ferdinand, the band consists of Massimo Martellotta (guitar), Luca Cavina (bass), Enrico Gabrielli (keyboards), and Fabio Rondanini (drums). The following year, they debuted with their album 'Calibro 35', and their single "Tutta Donna" reached number one on the Italian radio charts. They received high praise from the media and embarked on a world tour from Europe to America. In 2010, they released their second album, 'Ritornano Quelli Di...'. The track "Il Consigliori," included here, was sampled in Jay-Z's "Picasso Baby" (2013). Other artists, such as Dr. Dre and The Child of Love, have also featured their work, making them popular as a source of samples. Since then, they have consistently released albums and established themselves as a popular band in Italy, selling tens of thousands of copies.
