About the Artist: A Canadian-born roots music singer. From the age of 12, she toured North America professionally with her two brothers and parents as the Nilsson Family Band. She has performed with artists such as Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. She regularly appears on television and radio, and has released two singles that charted in Canada's Top 40. In 2007, she moved to New Zealand. She released her solo debut album, "Red Dirt Angel," in 2008, which won the New Zealand Music Award for Best Country Album. Her fourth album, "Dynamite!", released in 2014, was highly acclaimed as one of The Guardian's Top 10 Best Country Music Albums and won the APRA Silver Scroll Award, solidifying her position as a leading singer in the country. In 2018, she released "Don't Be Afraid/Songs of Sinners Live," a two-disc set containing her 2015 studio album (which topped the charts in New Zealand) and a live album, as a Japan-exclusive release. Her latest album is "Sassafras!", released in 2018.
