About the Artist: Bernard Allison was born in Chicago in 1965. As Luther Allison's ninth child, he was influenced by his father and developed a passion for blues and guitar from a young age. At the age of 13, he had his first recording experience on his father's live album. After graduating from high school, he joined bands such as Koko Taylor and Willie Dixon. In 1983, he made his debut as a member of his father's band at the highlight of the Chicago Blues Festival. Around that time, he was also influenced by Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and established his own guitar style. In 1989, he moved to Paris with his father. In the same year, he reappeared at the Chicago Blues Festival with his father's band and later became an official member. In 1990, he released his first solo album, "The Next Generation." Two years after Luther's death, in 1999, he returned to the United States to reconnect with his roots. He continued to release albums at a rapid pace of one per year throughout the 2000s. From 2007, he moved to the Jazzhaus Records label and released four albums, before returning to his former label, RUF Records, in 2018 to release "Let It Go."
