About the Artist: Zach Harmon was born around 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi. At 16, he began playing guitar in the backing band for Sam Myers, a friend of his father, and at 18, he was selected as a backing guitarist for ZZ Hill of Malaco and Dorothy Moore. At the age of 21, he moved to LA and began working as a studio musician, backing many other musicians and also working on TV, movies, and commercials. At the same time, he also worked as a composer, providing many songs to popular R&B artists such as The O'Jays, Alexander O'Neill, and The Whispers. A song he wrote for Black Uhuru was nominated for a Grammy in 1994. Then, in 2003, at over 40 years old, he released his long-awaited first album, "Live at Babe and Ricky's Inn," and won the Blues Challenge. In 2005, he won a Blues Music Award for "The Blues According To Zacariah." Since then, he has consistently released five albums, including "Shot in the Kill Zone" in 2008 and "Light Man, Light Now" in 2015, receiving high praise and winning many awards each time.
