About the Artist: Jason Isbell was born in Alabama in 1979. At the age of 21, he signed a songwriting contract with Fame Records through an introduction by David Hood (bass) of Muscle Shoals. In 2001, he joined Hood's son, Patterson Hood's, Drive-By Truckers. He participated in three albums, contributing not only guitar and vocals but also many songs. However, he left the band in 2007 and made his solo debut with 'Sirens of the Ditch'. Subsequently, he released 'Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit' in 2009 and 'Here We Rest' in 2011. In 2013, he released the acoustic album 'Southeastern'. His 2015 album 'Something More Than Free' reached number one on the Billboard Rock, Folk, and Country charts. It also ranked 6th overall, and the following year, he finally won two Grammy Awards, including Best Americana Album. He won another Grammy in 2017 with "The Nashville Sound." Recently, he has been very active, guesting on Sheryl Crow's album and providing music for Bradley Cooper in the movie "A Star Is Born."
