About the Artist: Michaela Ann is a singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. As a child, she moved around Washington, California, Michigan, and Italy due to her father's service in the Navy, encountering various kinds of music. She then spent 10 years studying jazz at a school in Manhattan, where she developed a passion for old-school country music. In 2011, she self-produced "To Know Where." Her 2014 release, "Ease My Mind," garnered significant attention, receiving high praise from the New York Times and the Village Voice. She later moved to Nashville and released her third album, "Bright Lights and the Fame," on Kingswood Records in 2016. The album, featuring guest appearances from Rodney Crowell and Norm Piqueney of the Punch Brothers, was a huge hit. It was also used in a TV drama, and she performed at many Americana festivals, including Marlfest. Then, in 2018, he moved to California and began working on his new album, "Desert Dove," with top local musicians including Sam Outlaw.
