About the Artist: Mandolin Orange is a male-female folk duo formed in North Carolina in 2009. The band consists of Andrew Marlin, a multi-instrumentalist who handles most of the songwriting and plays mandolin, guitar, banjo, organ, bass, and drums, and Emily Franz, who plays violin and guitar. They debuted in 2010 with "Quiet Little Rooms," and released their second album, "Haste Make/Hard Hearted Stranger," in 2011. After that, the band signed with YepRoc and released their third album, "This Side Of Jordan," in 2013. Their superb Americana sound, a blend of various genres such as bluegrass, gospel, folk, country, and pop, has been highly acclaimed. After an extensive tour, they released "Such Jubilee" in 2015 and "Magic Fire" in 2016. These albums have also received rave reviews from numerous renowned media outlets such as Rolling Stone and NPR. They have also performed at many major festivals, including Austin City Limits, Telluride Bluegrass Fest, and Newport Folk Fest.
