About the Artist: Big Daddy Wilson was born in Edenton, a rural town in North Carolina, USA. He joined the military in his teens and was stationed at a US military base in Germany. There, he discovered the blues for the first time. After his discharge, he remained in Germany and began singing in clubs. He rose to prominence in the German blues scene, collaborating with numerous artists, and from around 2000, he produced albums with various bands and units, including Wilson B & the Mississippi Grave Diggers. In 2009, he signed with RUF Records in Germany and released his first international solo debut album, "Love Is the Key." In 2011, he released "Some a Ride," followed by "Live in Europe" in 2014 and "Time" in 2015, consistently releasing albums. He blossomed as a late-blooming, highly skilled veteran blues singer. He is highly regarded by musicians, including Eric Bibb, and his talent as a composer is undeniable. In 2017, he released "Neckbone Stew," featuring Eric Bibb and Lucy Foster as guests, and in 2018, he released the live album "Songs from the Road (CD+DVD)."
