About the Artist: Eli Paperboy Reid was born in 1982 in Brookline, near Boston. He grew up listening to his father's blues and soul records, and after graduating from high school, he moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi. He participated in blues sessions almost daily, meeting and being influenced by true bluesmen such as Sam Carr. He enrolled at the University of Chicago, where he was recognized by Mitty Collier and became the musical director of her gospel choir. After graduating, he returned to Boston and released his self-produced album "Sings "Walkin' and Talkin'..." in 2005. His 2008 album "Roll With You," released by Q Division, became a worldwide hit, and he made his first visit to Japan the following year at Fuji Rock Festival. In 2010, he released his major label debut album "Come And Get It!" with Capitol Records. He returned to Japan in 2013 and performed with The Bawdies. After that, he signed with Yep Roc and released "My Way Home" in 2016, "Eli Paperboy Reed Meets Hi & Mighty Brass Band" in 2018, and a 10th-anniversary edition of "Roll With You" which included unreleased tracks.
