About the Artist: Eli Reid is from Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up listening to his father's blues and soul records. After graduating from high school, he moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi to work at a blues radio station. He participated in blues sessions almost daily, meeting and being influenced by true bluesmen such as Sam Carr. Later, he went on to the University of Chicago, where he was recognized by soul singer Mitty Corea and became the musical director of her gospel choir. After graduating, he returned to Boston and released his self-produced album "Sings "Walkin' and Talkin'..." in 2005. His powerful live performances gained him a reputation, and in 2008 he released "Roll With You" on Q Division. The album became a hit, and the following year, 2009, he made his first visit to Japan for FUJI ROCK. After that, he moved to New York and released his major label debut album "Come And Get It!" on Capitol in 2010. He returned to Japan in 2013 and performed with The Bawdies. Subsequently, he signed with Yep Roc and released "My Way Home" in 2016 and "Eli Paperboy Reed Meets Hi & Mighty Brass Band" in 2018.
