About the Artist: John Mayall was born in Cheshire, England in 1933. He moved to London in 1956 and, influenced by Alexis Korner, the father of British blues, formed the Bluesbreakers in 1962. They debuted in 1965 with 'John Mayall Plays John Mayall'. Later, Eric Clapton, who had left the Yardbirds, joined the band, and they released "Blues Breakers" in 1966. Even after Clapton's departure, the band produced many central figures in the British blues scene that followed, such as Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Jack Bruce, Andy Fraser, and John McVie. Despite numerous member changes, they have released over 60 albums in their more than 50-year musical career, including live albums and greatest hits compilations. In 2009, they released "Tough" with a new band, and more recently, they released "Special Life" in 2014, and in 2015 and 2016, they released the legendary unreleased recordings "Live 1967" vol. 1 and 2, respectively, generating considerable buzz. Even now, at over 80 years old, they remain energetic and active.
