About the Artist: Tammy Nilsson is a Canadian-born roots music singer. She grew up in a musical family where amplifiers and guitar cases were as commonplace as furniture like chairs and tables. From the age of 12, she toured North America with her two brothers and parents as the Nilsson Family Band, performing with country superstars like Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. She regularly appears on television and radio, and has two singles that reached the Canadian Top 40 charts. In 2007, she moved to Auckland, New Zealand. In 2008, she released her debut solo album, "Red Dirt Angel," which won the New Zealand Music Award for Best Country Album. Her fourth album, "Dynamite!", released in 2014, was highly acclaimed as one of the top 10 best country music albums by The Guardian and won the APRA Silver Scroll Award, New Zealand's most prestigious music award. She has become a leading blues and country singer in the country, and continues to be active in a wide range of fields, including providing music for television dramas and appearing in documentaries.
