About the Artist: Duke Robillard is a T-Bone Walker-style guitarist born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1948. He is the founder of Roomful of Blues, a Boston-based band formed in the late 1960s. He gained attention for his soulful performances in a nine-piece band playing jazz and jump blues. After releasing several albums, in the 1990s he joined the Fabulous Thunderbirds as guitarist after Jimmie Vaughan's departure, participating in classic albums such as "Hot Stuff." In parallel, he has consistently released solo albums, including "Too Hot to Handle," "Rockin' Blues" (1988), and "New Guitar Summit" (2004), bringing his total to over 20 albums. His 2015 album "Acoustic Blues & Roots of" won the BMA Acoustic Album of the Year award. He has also been active as a producer and guest artist on numerous albums, working with artists such as Bob Dylan, Pinetop Perkins, Eddie Clearwater, and Snooky Pryor, to name just a few. He is currently one of the most trusted and respected figures in the blues world.
